Comparative analysis of hybrid stabilization methods in the treatment of burst fractures of the vertebral bodies associated with osteoporosis

Objective . To perform comparative analysis of posterior stabilization methods combined with cement vertebroplasty and osteoplasty deproteinized bone allograft in the treatment uncomplicated burst fractures vertebral bodies associated osteoporosis. Material Methods The study was a retrospective analysis. Two groups patients were formed, inclusion exclusion criteria determined. follow-up period 12 months. magnitude kyphosis correction according to Cobb method, residual postoperative kyphotic deformity, its recurrence long term period, length transpedicular fixationwere assessed. Sagittal balance parameters subjective assessments patient’s condition not evaluated. Results With statistically significant difference, it can be said that main predictors local kyphosis, incomplete deformity increased pain syndrome are level injury (T12 vertebra), degree initial achievement after surgery (>10°), value T-criterion densitometry. fixation does notaffect loss however may correlate severity Conclusions When comparing combination or osteoplasty, there no statistical difference clinical radiological outcomes.
